otherwise your basically saying it doesn't bloody work on the d5300 at all, and it don't matter what reason. Noobs at dslr will be confused. They won't know that you can still manually focus the thing. OR they will basically say, hey I can't autofocus this thing dis shit don work man wtf, cus they too lazy to focus by hand.

For those who may not be familiar, all camera companies have rigid warranty policies and will only service locally IF the product was released through the local distribution company (for the US, Nikon of USA). Their rationale is to protect variable pricing for different international markets. Nikon of USA will deny all service—including paid service—on gray market lenses or cameras. Japanese watch companies have similar warranty restrictions.
I applaud Nikon and Canon products appearing on Massdrop but if the above issues are not addressed these drops won't be any different from unscrupulous eBay sellers doing the same.
