One of the smallest, lightest DSLRs on the market, the Nikon D3300 is equipped with a 24.2MP CMOS sensor and Nikon’s EXPEED 4 image processor, which eliminates the more common optical low-pass filter for improved sharpness. Working in tandem, the two provide professional image quality with excellent color accuracy Read More
Is this a grey market item? Aka is their a warranty and if yes, will Nikon in the US service it? Is this the best 18-55mm lens for the d3300 or is it the vr 2?
seaoceanngoYes, it is Grey Market.. I recently found out the hard way on my D5300 that I got on MassDrop that Nikon USA will not service it at all, warranty or no warranty. If it's Grey Market, Nikon & Nikon authorized service centres will refuse to fix it if it breaks.
What we have is a nationwide representation of each of the products. There may be regional or even store-wide variations which then are not represented in our data. Also, the data I posted is from a month ago, so it is most likely the prices will have changed. You will be surprised how much a price can change in a week.
dapycloser to 80 cheaper actually, amazon charges about 35 in tax. I'd much rather have the red one, but 80 dollars off is definitely worth the wait/color IMO. with that said, I should point out that, unless I'm mistaken, the lens they are including is the normal kit lens so amazon's comes with it as well. regardless, this will be my first DSLR so I'm looking fowards to it.
Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Nikon D3300 DSLR w/ 18-55mm AF-P VR Zoom Lens and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 1/20.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 1/9.

I love my D3300. I was excited when I saw the D3400 was released but it ended up being a downgrade. The sensor dust cleaning feature is gone, the flash is weaker (don't use the integrated flash though), and the rest is identical. I think it has connectivity now though but I'm not paying $100 extra for it when the adapter is like $40.
That's a good observation. Thanks for letting us know. I too live in Sweden and for us Swedes MD makes less sense by the day. Absurd delivery times, often with the only benefit of being marginally cheaper than the cheapest webstore available - VAT and shipping ($56.75 for this drop results in seldom expressed frowns) included.
And I actually really love this community. Nice way of interacting and yes, a lot of cheap gadgets to good discounts. If one can live with the, at times, 6 months(!!) delivery times, then I suppose this is your heaven. I belong to the type of people who rather pay a +50% premium towards the shipping cost for a speedy next day delivery. Anything above 3 days is OK. Going beyong a week of delivery time is painfully agonizing especially when waiting for your next dream gadget impatiently like a kid on x-mas. But hey, over 2 weeks to a month has actually been the very MINIMUM I had to wait for my orders here. And unless it's something truly exclusive and highly regarded such as Fostex's Purpleheart's, then I usually run short of justifications using this service. But hey, that's my 2c.
Much love to the MD team for making the best out of the current policies. I've had personal contact with you folks and I could not be more pleased with the exceptionally TOTL support. Hats off to you!
And to everyone else, I wish a very, very happy new year 2017!!!
