I paid full when it first came out and don't regret it one bit (not that I don't enjoy discounts mind you, otherwise I wouldn't be here...). It truly is a fantastic DSLR and satisfies all of my shooting needs as an enthusiast. For those interested, here's my non-pro's wedding shots experience (not really a true review): http://forum.nikonrumors.com/discussion/3532/
And my in-depth review of the MB-D16 grip:
Good luck to those joining this drop!

Great camera, I'm going to pick up the body only when I will be in Hong Kong 2 weeks later. US$1400 or less is basically the market price from authorized dealers in Asia. It's just Nikon USA so greedy in charging hundreds more.
And beware of grey market Nikon, I was told you would need to ship it back to the original country's repair center to get it repaired.
I seriously don't see this drop is a deal. You can get the same grey market body at US$1500 from some good ebay sellers. And if you're using this semi-pro/pro body, most likely you already have better lens than the kit lens, which you can get it altogether cheaper fron ebay also.

mcdullWell, even if you buy it in Hong Kong from an authorized dealer and bring it to US, it will still be considered grey market, Nikon USA will not repair it, and you will still have to ship it to Hong Kong if something goes wrong.

semkaI go there at least once every year as well as my friends and I have relatives there. We don't even know where these cameras will come from and where to send them to

Is this camera sold directly to Massdrop by Nikon USA? I want to make sure this is the white-market product will full factory USA warranty, with all accessories.

jtibbleIf this was white-market it would be a fantastic deal but I believe that Nikon sets the prices for their retailers and they wouldn't allow Massdrop exclusive rights to break that price.

Gray market from reliable dealers is close to $1500. The $1300 is from terribly bait and switch companies. They gray market for this combo is about $2050 so this is still s savings but not an extreme deal.

PneubNo. Search on eBay for redtagcamera. They have a sale at least once per month for $1399. They have 99.9% feedback. They sell hundreds of D750s. You have 100% protection from PayPal if something goes wrong.
Given that eBay often has 4-5X eBay bucks promo, you can basically get $100 bucks back, too. Thus, $1300.

You can get a grey-market D810 for just a little bit more.

LuminousMooseI'd exactly like to see the price without the lens. I have plenty of lenses, and I'd be interested in a new body.

Great camera, bad deal. The body (grey market, brand new, the same as this one) can be had for $1399 routinely, the lens - for under $300.
