I bought this flashlight after realizing the Imalent DM20 I previously purchased was not a good choice for my intended application. To elaborate I wanted a powerful modern flashlight for emergency use. I am required to carry a flashlight with me at work, just in my bag in the cockpit but not on my person. The Imalent flashlight has a very finicky on/off touch sensitive button on the end and after locking out the light I often had a tough time getting it to come back to life. But leaving the lock out feature off could easily leave me with a dead flashlight. Actually illegal. Then just handling it with the button on the end cap would often cause it to change intensity or function, it would switch to strobe mode just because of the way I held it. So I realized what I really needed was a tough, waterproof, high power flashlight with modern features like strobe and SOS, that ran on simple store bought or at least readily available batteries that hold their charge for years, with a traditional style and location switch that would be instantly useful in the very low probability that I ever have to grab it on some dark and probably stressful night after not using it for a long time. The Imalent will be fine for camping!
