Ok, it's probably just me, but how do you charge this thing? I just received mine and I cannot find a usb charging port where it's shown in the picture (in the manual). It has the rechargeable battery AND a usb cable... so what am I missing?

SantiagoDracoNevermind, figured it out. You unscrew the large ring/collar. The port is hidden under there. This also explains why the center ring is large.

If it weren't for that donut around the middle, I would buy this. I'm honestly not sure how they settled on this design. I understand it serves a purpose in protecting the charge port, but there are other lights out there that fixed that issue without having to add an ugly, bulky ring.

IanEDCThe ring is most likely there for use in conjunction with a hand gun. mostly used with the “syringe” technique.

IanEDCI've had one other Nightcore light that has the donut on it and it's hands down the most waterproof/durable flashlight I've had. Never had anything get into the charging port and it's remained dry and sealed through all types of immersion including diving in a lake looking for some lost keys on the bottom. While not my favorite feature I'll put up with that ring for the sheer practical usefulness of that system.

I think MassDrop is growing too fast to take care of business. Why haven't they come on here to clear things up about the usability of the three different battery types asked about, which one (if any) comes with the offering, and state that it comes with a USB cord that you plug into your own laptop, wall plug adaptor, etc.?? All this could be avoided by taking more care with the initial write-up and if written correctly all could have been stated as features.

DOBTruckersHey @DOBTruckers -- Thanks for the call-out, I think you've touched on a number of issues...
Much of the information you've asked about is already on the page, and shown in photos, but was not listed as "Included" - we've changed that, and listed all of the included items here.
Members, especially in flashlight discussions, answer each others questions more quickly and accurately than our staff can.
This is more a function of there being millions of enthusiast members and only a handful of us, but it's true that we've been a bit short-handed over in EDC recently; we've just doubled the size of our team for EDC, Blades, and Outdoor, so we should be able to be more responsive in discussions moving forward.
Thanks for letting us know so we could try and address these things.
