I just got my tm26 and i am bummed, i think something is wrong with the power switch. Any time i try and turn the flashlight off it will say standby for a second, but then turn back on when i let go of the button. The only way to consistently turn it off is to use the lockout function. After 4 or 5 trys i can get the standby to stick. It seems as i release the switch from a hard press it makes a soft press right afterward turning it back on Anyone else having this issue?

jedinerdYou may be activating the momentary mode. When in this mode the switch turns the light on and when you release the switch it immediately turns off. It's used when you want to use the light to signal. I had to read the instruction a couple of times to fully understand the tm26 UI.

jedinerdI experienced something like this but with an earlier model, for which it eventually stopped happening. As Amafan writes it does suggest the switch is registering a soft press after a hard press. Give it a few more uses as it might be just an issue of "learning" to use the switch or that the switch needs some time to "break in".

chris_n26I am able to turn the flashlight on with a soft press , but i am unable to reliably turn it off with a hard press as it seems when you release a hard press it emits a short press. Most of the time i turn the flashlight on with with a longpress to turn on turbo mode it will change settings as well, making operating the flashlight pretty random. I reached out to support yesterday , and again this morning with no reply. Also, my units sale card wasn't filled out with serial number, store stamp or sale date.

jedinerdDo you let your finger linger on the button as you depress it fully? I find that you should release you finger as soon as you feel a click otherwise you might accidentally initiate a soft press.
My package arrived today. Just like you my warranty card isn't filled in. I don't think this is going to be an issue in terms of warranty.
