Looks like a great product, I would update the device to use USB type c for the next iteration. As a former photographer, this would have been a useful tool for color matching fabrics for look books to give a more accurate color reproduction. Maybe I will grab one in the future and come pick it up in the hammer if that's ok

Will this be able to get pantone color codes?

Hi nyichiban! Although Pantone is not native to the apps, you can use the CMYK colors to convert to Pantone using Photoshop or online converters (we use the same CMYK profile as Adobe). If you intend on purchasing the Nix Pro and you own the Pantone decks, you can scan and import your own Pantone library using the custom upload feature. Let us know if you have any more questions! - Elaina Principato, Marketing Coordinator at Nix Sensor Ltd.

Anyone know what the warranty is on these suckers? I've read on Amazon that its only 60 days. Which seems incredibly unreasonable to me. If this is incorrect and it is more then 60, I'm totally onboard with this drop!

Hi Knut. Nix devices do not calibrate screens or monitors. They are designed to grab colors of physical surfaces like walls, fabrics, plastics, paint, paper, etc. and will match to paints or provide digital color values (RGB, CMYK, CIELAB, etc.). Can it tell me what I need to mix to get to that color? If I scan a color I would like to mix my own paint.

I don't really see an option for that. It will give you RGBs, CMYKs, etc so maybe you can derive it from there

I work in a historical restoration firm. We needed something to take on a job site and discern a color. I got the green light to grab a Nix Pro and it has surprised all of us in the office. We've sent out paint chips for analysis and compared the results to the Nix scans. Near matches for most and some are spot on. For the price, mobility, and ease of use I don't think we could have gotten anything better.

Well it looks like I'm not the only one that thinks this product and the company behind it are NOT READY FOR PRIMETIME. Doc included in product minimal, website referenced in documentation has NO mention of this product, when you ask for a manual you are sent to a website that is not referenced in the main website or in the documentation and all it has is larger print version of the include instruction sheet. UNSAT Any company that produces a product that they don't send a complete manual with the product is obligated to provide access to a complete manual and in addition some kind of FAQ. As best I can determine the companies idea of a manual business card 5 panel "instruction" sheet - heck they don't even tell to to match your bluetooth with the product. UNSAT So at this point I have to take time out of my work day to call them to "try" and get this item to work with my phone. UNSAT

Hi msjordan,
First of all I just wanted to say thanks for your business. I'll try and help out as best as I can.
Do you have a Nix Pro Color Sensor or a Nix Mini Color Sensor?
It sounds like you have a Nix Mini Color Sensor,
The apps for the Mini can be found at https://nixmini.com/apps/
Unfortunately you are right, the FAQs are hard to find, they are at: https://nixsensor.com/nix-faq/
We are working to combine the two websites in the next few weeks to make this a lot more clear.
Thanks for the feedback! Always feel free to call us at Toll Free (NA): +1.800.649.1387
This number goes directly to our office in Canada (9-5 Eastern) where our team can walk you through any support problem you might have.
Cheers,
Matt Sheridan
