They say this is the world first but how is it any different from the Asus ROG 1440p IPS 4ms thats been out for years?

KyyrbesI think it might be the Freesync range they are saying is a "first". This monitor has 30-144Hz Freesync range, the MG279Q has only 35-90Hz

SkitTheCritYou're probably right. Freesync is significantly less prominent above 90hz/fps though. Cant complain about choices though!
