This should go down in price. At 299 is a good price, will sell more and I will surely buy one!

jasqueLet me know when you find a 27 inch 1440p 144hz IPS monitor for $299. Even korean monitors that debuted at that price have gone up to the minimum of $369.

jasqueIt was $325 with a discount code, so not really. Someday? For sure it will definitely lower in price. When that actually happens, no one knows. The latest and greatest coming from the major manufacturers are just barely rolling out, as higher refresh rates at higher resolutions are just barely hitting the market.
Unfortunately, there really aren't any competing products at this price point with these specs. Monoprice briefly had a similar monitor up around the same price, only to later find that it was a TN panel when customers actually looked into it (and their listing was updated).

2-bitsNot really. We've definitely seen these go on sale for $300-$325 for Acer XF270HU and VG2770UP, Pixio PX277/PX277H, and even the Nixeus EDG27.
