Ack.. yea, I've got to say, after having used it for a bit, I'm likely going to switch back to my $10 Logitech. I'm finding, after hundreds of random tests, that both the right and left mouse buttons sometimes fail to respond to what is probably too light of a click (not enough pressure) despite it being more than enough under normal circumstances AND an audible click, with tactile response. It just simply ignores the click occasionally. Also, I find that if you lift the mouse, even the tiniest bit, it will not respond to movement - and that a regular mouse should have a good 1-2mm clearance while you lift and re-position, where the mouse is still responsive. Helps with precious milliseconds while gaming. Ah well, it was worth the try.

Very enlightening! TIL I have a very narrow window of tolerance for LOD. In retrospect, I do despise high LOD. But this Nixeus likes to be sucked right down to the surface - and I do have a great mouse pad. I guess I wouldn't call myself a serious gamer - though I'm still at a computer 12-15 hours per day between work and games - and APM is important to me in both. So I would argue a LOD balance is important if you want to be nimble while re-positioning your mouse; using the lift-off and landing as cursor movement time instead of the cursor stopping dead.
With your comments and advice though, I've plugged it back in to give it another shake. On a different computer, too. And I've noticed the clicking issue is non-existent. I think I'll blow away my original comment, lest someone stumble upon it. Thanks nobelharvards!
