First, I'd like to state what similar keyboards I own for a frame of reference - I own an HHKB Pro2 (lubed/silenced) and I own a Realforce RGB (lubed/silenced) and I own a Filcco Majestouch Convertible (silent blacks).
My favorite out of the bunch is of course the HHKB, This keyboard, however, is my new daily driver in the office. HHKB, I now use in my home office. This baby types like a dream and it's nothing like I felt before. I was skeptical about the 35g domes but they are very very pleasant to type on. Topres are nothing like MX switches. A MX switch at 35g sounds like a nightmare. I would make so many typing mistakes with accidental accuations. With Topre, the tactile or resistance is at the top (due to the dome), you really dont make any mistakes. So you get the mistake free typing of a heavy tactile switch but with the anti-fatigue of a light tactile. It's amazing.
I admit I was a bit of a brand snob but I highly recommend this keyboard. It's got all the bells and whistles of a modified topre board at a fraction of the cost. Lubed? Check. Silenced? Check. Thick PBT caps? Check (1.5mm). Bluetooth? Check. MX keycap compatible? Check.
I usually mod all my boards but found that I didnt have to with this. The only "mod" I did was reverse the spacebar (that's a preference of mine and it also hides the NIZ brand).

pretty sure selling just different weighted domes would net a fair amount of people.

Plum boards are available in 45g. I don't understand why MD never runs that option. You can also buy aftermarket domesheets for them of 55g and 62g domes.

Warning: the sliders are very tight fitting and can lead to cracked keycaps. I put on a set of Maxkey SA and ended up with 3 cracked stems.

Popping in just to add to this. I had the same problem. The domes are incredibly hard to align and the PCB doesnt work 100% the same afterward.

When I first got this keyboard for work, I was accidentally typing g, f, j and k all the time just because my fingers were there and the sensitivity was so extreme it was hard not to type unexpectedly. The one I got came with little springs that could be added under the keys to add to the force necessary to strike them. I put one spring under each key in the "home row" and left the others alone. That took care of the problem.
This is now the best keyboard I have ever used. It is not silent, but it is very quiet and friendly sounding. My typing speed has gone up about ten words a minute as well. I was looking for another one for at home but they were always over $150. I finally got a great deal on an eBay resold Massdrop keyboard instead, that had the same key configuration, but with brown cherry mx key switches. I don't like those quite as well but the letters on the keys of that keyboard light up and I like that a lot since that keyboard sits on a shadowed shelf in a dimly lit room .
So, this keyboard ultimately led me to Massdrop, and now it is being offered for sale here. I find that oddly satisfying.

Some thoughts that, even with higher prices I think would make Niz more productive during their drops are adding different dome weighting options and dropping their current lineup with the bluetooth and RGB options. Apparently their business model is pretty good, they've been at it for years, but imho you've got to listen to the community and fix the spacebar length on the alternate layouts.

zadokWell, besides the Tenkeyless and Full-Size boards, which have normal-sized spacebars. I'm typing this on the Pro 87.

Odd that Massdrop went with the one with the lower actuation force instead of the one that was more popular and would sell better (45g).

No. Or yes. Depending on what you mean. Imagine a graph of force required to push the switch down (vertical axis) vs distance the switch has been pressed (horizontal axis). Adding the spring will shift the graph upwards, while having a heavier dome would change the shape of the graph.

Has anybody done a slider swap with a Realforce and a Plum board as both the jtk and kbdfans sliders are so bad they're unusable.

Really wish I could get one of these with a standard size spacebar. Other than strange layout options like this, I love NiZ a lot.

Got mine today and gotta say that I feel this keyboard is worth the price and is probably the best keyboard I have tried at this price point. You can get that topre feel on this keyboard if you're looking for it at a lower price but definitely very scratchy compared to authentic topres. I'm really liking the layout of this board and the compact form factor. Gotta say the board feels really sturdy and really for the price I would highly recommend it.
