You guys act like MD never sold expensive stuff before. There were far more egregious examples of stupid-expensive drops back before they changed their name. Some good bargains back then too!

Even if I had $27,500 to drop on a single pair of IEMs, these are so gaudy and unbelievably ugly that I would never want to buy them. Coming soon, a new collaborative IEM between Drop and Noble Audio. The Drop Sultan-XX. Based on the overpriced Noble Sultan you'll get the same tuning with a refreshed look. Instead of gold and diamonds, the Sultan-XX will have a 3D printed shell with the familiar midnight blue color that became popular with the introduction of the HD-6XX headphones. MSRP will be $24,600 but during the first drop only you'll be able to pick it up for the introductory price of $23,000

I'd love to see what an appraisal of the gold and diamonds comes in at... I'm going to take a wild guess that it's a fraction of the asking price.
