*edit - "The Nomad ChargeKey outputs as much as 3.1 amps of power"
Noice. Might want to add that to the description, though I'd love to see some benchmarks/tests.

StormTrooperJust for clarification, this is not a battery, it's a charging/data cable.

Good clarification.
At the same time I should point out that different cables will support different charging rates, so the original question was valid as well. Give it a try: Run a charge-rate detector app on your device (e.g. "Galaxy Charging Current" for Samsung Galaxy Android devices), and try a few different chargers. Particularly with the high-rate chargers (like the default Galaxy chargers) I've seen as much as a 40% charge-rate difference at home. (The super-thin cables you get with a bluetooth headset along with the low-rate charger is a good example of this. So, if you tend to mix-and-match your mini-USB cables, you'll see different performance.)
This device looks pretty thick, so while I haven't tried one (yet), from looks alone it appears that it's headed in the right direction.

buybuybuyThough that doesn't necessarily mean the internal wiring is thick; could just be enclosure material for durability and flexibility. But it's also really really short as cables go, and doesn't cable length enter into the calculations as well?
