When it comes to watchmaking, there are few towns as revered as Glashütte. It was the birthplace of watchmaking in Germany, after all, and today it’s home to a handful of the world’s most respected manufacturers. Among these is Nomos. Once a boutique operation of only a few employees, the company has grown to more than 100, and it’s no surprise why.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of five different styles. This drop is limited to 10 units (2 units per model).
At the baseline of this luxury collection is the Club. It’s available in a number of different models, each of which is equipped with a specialized movement. The standard Club and the Club Datum, for example, can only be hand-wound, though the Datum offers the addition of a date function. The Automat Datum is capable of automatic winding as well as hand-winding and features a date display. Each of these movements offers hacking seconds. And, like most other timepieces from Glashütte, all models are crafted with a three-quarter plate—complete with perlage decoration—to ensure stability of movement. The movement is also decorated with Côtes de Genève striping, snail graining, and blued screws.
Design elements vary little across the line. Each of these models features a clean dial with Arabic numerals at the 12, 2, 4, 8, and 10 positions, plus orange minute markers in increments of five on the outer ring. At 6 o’clock is a subsidiary seconds dial. All models also feature baton-style hands, lumed or inlaid for added visibility, as well as the Nomos logo at 12 o’clock. Atop the polished stainless steel case is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
