I too have received my order with original selection. I have many fountain pens and even though it is not the main attraction, the piston fill flex is my new preferred choice. It doesn't have a large ink reservoir. In my opinion that's a plus. I'm always afraid the ink dries out in the reservoir when I need to clean the nib and feed. I like the view window so I know when there is no more ink. The rotating load feature is simple enough to draw enough ink without over thinking. Let me compare with other fountain pens I own. I have two twsbi vacuum fountain pens. One for standard writing and one for calligraphy. Loading these pens really requires the special bottle to fill the large reservoir. The vacuum is violent and I'm afraid of splashing the ink everywhere if I don't use the special bottle. When the feed and nib dries out, it is a pain to take apart and clean. The plus side is the entire pen is transparent and I know how much ink is left. My next pen is the pilot from an earlier drop from massdrop. Cleaning the feed and nib is easier due to easier separation. However I don't know when my pen is out of ink. The load process requires more work to open the enclosure and squeeze the converter tube to draw ink. I could by disposable tubes, but that would be a waste. My next set of fountain pens are the pilot parallel pens of different sizes. They have the same drawbacks as my other pilot pen to load ink. One feature is that I can visibly see when the feed is out of ink with it's transparent feed "neck", also one of the drops from massdrop. All the pens are fluid and dispense the right amount, only time will tell on how this pen will compare to my collection.
