North x North creates wool products that are designed to be functional and reusable, and its hooded neck gaiter is no exception to that. Made of superfine Australian merino wool, it can double as a face mask, headband, hood, earmuffs, hair band, and more Read More
I've used this a ton when outside in cold temps, or just as a neck and face shield on warmer days when out fishing all day. It breathes really well and is surprisingly warm for its weight.
This thing has been on my neck practically every day when I was out during the winter. It is a great piece of kit. Thin, light, comfortable and warm. The only thing I missed is a bit more length on the hood piece.
I was surprised at how thin it is, but it is super stretchy, configurable and surprisingly warm as base layer under other layers like hoodies and helmets.
Amazing. Warm for the weight, super soft, no smell after 3 days, and very versatile. I used it as a beanie around the fire, and as hoody in my quilt at night. It is intuitive to use, but watch the video on their website for more ideas. I wear nearly all wool when I backpack, and this is as soft as my softest icebreaker gear.
This might be my favorite piece of gear. It makes regulating temperature on cooler days easy. Ive taken it on every trip since I received it. Makes for a good pillow cover too!
As with the Shemagh NxN makes it is perfect for the survivalist. Lightweight, breathable and can be used in many different configurations including the gross particle filtering of water.
I've owned several neck gaiters from a few different companies for hiking, going to outdoor sporting events, and for motorcycling. This gaiter strikes a great balance for all activities. It doesn't have dedicated wind blocking like one you would wear for riding your motorcycle, but the wool construction keeps you warm enough except on the coldest of days (comfy down into the 40's, but chilly when you get into the 20's-30's). However, the breathability of a non-wind blocking gaiter allows it to be much more comfortable for energetic activities like hiking and it worked great on my hunting trip this year keeping me just warm enough while providing great breathability to keep from overheating. It's the kind of neck gaiter I would carry everywhere "just in case" because it's so lightweight and packs small, but still performs as good as you need it. It's also nice and thin, so wearing it under a hat, helmet, or hoodie never gets uncomfortable or feels bulky.

This is soft, light, and warmer than it looks. I use it to keep my hair from getting tangled on windy days, as well as to keep warm. A great base layer under a hat, jacket hood, or helmet, or by itself.
