Hey all!
Welcome to the first Glow Deskpad GB on Massdrop. We are offering these deskpads in 3 colorways - Panda, Reversed Panda, and Grey Panda. Please note that the pictures for the Panda made the sun look slightly gray, but it will actually be white and black, just like the non-glow version.
These deskpads feature a stitched edge with a fiberoptic band going around it. The LEDs in the control box shoot the color from each side around the deskpad. There are 7 static colors and 3 dynamic color modes.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you all enjoy this!
FAQs
Can you program the colors?
No, they are not programmable and only feature the 10 different color options.
Why is this shipping so expensive for international?
This is the actual cost of shipping. These deskpads are heavy (~2 pounds), and cost a good bit to ship out.
But product x weighs more than this and shipping is cheaper and/or free.
Some products have the cost of shipping built in to the actual cost of the product.
Why does it take so long to ship these out?
The product has to be manufactured, packaged, shipped out by sea to our office, and then we have to package them up. It takes quite a bit of time to get a product made.
Update:
July 29, 2019 - These will all be shipped out to you all by Thursday, August 1!
August 1, 2019 - All order shipped. Drop complete.
heldpizzaRGB is not a Hype, it is a part of life. Back in the days all you had were single colors, we have moved to multiple colors, why would things go back? Anyway, having a choice is always great dont you agree? I mean its not like they aren't making things that come with NO rgb.
GotEmAllIt lost it's appeal for me when I saw it for on the 200th time. To me it just looks tacky like under glow on a car. And also in a way it is used by manufacturers carelessly like when people with no taste in food put ketchup on everything. It takes away from the character and design of the products that it is used on and drives it toward this conformity that is characterized as "gamer". My opinion though, don't let it effect yours.
No Pluto, no buy!
Yeah I know, some snobby dude lead the charge to deny pluto proper Planetary rights, but I'm a rebel, and I'd accept it with an '*'. You just have to have the Roman god of death represented. *hmmph*
Yeah, in that case, I would definitely think pluto should be there. IMHO
Should have had pluto sweeping out wide in between Neptune and Uranus on this one. Factually correct and current while appeasing us Pluto types.
I'm dedicated and I don't need this, so it's easy for me to say no. Now if there was a Pluto edition, I'd buy.
SaskAudioGuyHonestly, if you want it THAT bad, these mats are readily available on alliexpress and similar when you find the vendor with custom prints. You'll just have to pay a bit more, but delivery is in the 2 week time frame for that added cost.
Another method I was looking at, just getting a blank mat and placing my printed one on top of it. That way, I only need one RGB mat and just place all my custom printed ones on top. No need to re-buy a whole new fleet and I can still wash the top mat in the washing machine.
scmllI sympathise (fellow European!), but comments like this do baffle me. This is a U.S. website, and you're asking them to ship something across the Atlantic. It's not their fault that shipping companies cost so much! (And realistically, moving stuff thousands of miles probably should be expensive. There's a lot of labour and fuel involved.)
