Desk mat is advertised as $30 retail (though I'll note no mat on the site is over $20 except the Godspeed Glow) and selling for $15 (50% discount). Wrist rest advertised retail price is $5 cheaper, but it's selling for $16 (36% discount)?

Congrats on being immune to common, successful sales tactics. That doesn't mean everyone is, or that it's acceptable to use them.

Guys... stop... please. My wallet can't take any more of this! I grabbed MiTo's latest SA Laser (Kobe, Micons, Mitowaves, Spacebar, Arrows). Then I saw the Laser Sunset deskpad... so I got that too. Then I saw the Laser Cat artisan keycap... and I got that too. Now this?! I mean I love it and I'm totally in... but please... for the love of my bank account... staahhhp. :)
EDIT #1: Nevermind. The TKL version is already out of stock. Now my wallet is happy but I'm sad. Oh well.
EDIT #2: Hmm it says 32 purchasers are still needed to make the drop happen. Maybe the TKL being out of stock is a mistake? I'll keep an eye on this. Really hoping to get one. EDIT #3: ALL FIXED! Happy purchasing. :)

Hey!
I can confirm that the wrist rest will have straight lines, contrary to what you included in your diagram. My guess is that the lens used/retouched corrections made the edges look more warped than usual.

That's fine by me. As long as they're intended to be straight I'm good with that. I can handle a bit of distortion. Just wanted to make sure the lines weren't intentionally non-straight. I'm sure they'll look awesome.

Hello everyone!
We are trying something new here, and are offering custom wrist rests for the first time. These wrist rests feature a smooth and soft fabric, with a memory foam inside. The bottom rubber grip does a great job holding the wrist rest in place. We are offering two sizes, one that would fit great with most TKL and one that would fit great with 60%'s and HHKB's.
Because this is a new product, we have added some additional padding time to the estimated ship date. I think we can get it out sooner, but we want to be on the safe side as unexpected delays can happen.

static.overdubDepending on how these do will kind of dictate if there is demand to some in the future. But we do have designs already made up for a Pulse variant. :)

dolusebResting your wrist on anything is bad (same with elbows on armrests) while typing or doing work. But wrist rests actually function more like palm rests.
You would have to have baby hands for it to hit you wrist while typing normally. I've been using soft ones for a while, basically the same product as this but from pc gaming race. They are not the best but soft and cheap (on sale). It's comfortable to rest your hand/palm on them in between typing as well
The biggest negative is being unable to properly clean the fabric on it's own. The earlier pc gaming race ones also used thick card above the rubber sheet to make it more rigid. This obviously can't be washed. I don't know if this is the case here but I wouldn't be surprised.

mgsicklerFor what it's worth, even though I type on a TKL, I like full sized wrist rests as my hands tend to be on the sides of the keyboard a lot.

Why don't any of the wrist rest drops ever have split/ ergo options? Even if i were to get 2x 60% they'd be too long
