Im currently out on a business trip, so I can’t make my normal post for the mousepads.
But it I’m super happy to be working with @T0mb3ry on these deskpads. He did an amazing job with the design and I’m really happy with the way they turned out.
Yes, shipping is expensive. But it’s actual costs. I can explain a bit more on Sunday once I get back in.
Hope you all enjoy this deskpad!

There are lots of factors that come into play. And I really can’t get into all of them.
MD creates the labels on their account. It is the actual cost of shipping. i can’t not speak for any other item, but sometimes the cost of shipping is subsidized into the cost of the price.

mgsicklerThe inference is that the CTRL keyboard is actually a lower value than it's sold for and, by hiding the cost of shipping in the price of the product, those in America with advertised 'free' shipping are in fact subsidizing the cost of Massdrop shipping the product further afield.

Mikey_SoloIt takes a good amount of time to get a product manufactured, shipped (by sea takes around 40 days), package each individual pad up, and ship out.

Would have liked to join, but those shipping cost to Germany plus tax and fees.
Just to much!
Adding multiple items to make shipping more reasonable doesn't work at all.
It is getting even more expensive :(

One of the purposes of MD is to offer products at a discount. And that’s what this drop does.
I retail the deskpads for $20/pad plus shipping. This gets the price down for all potentual customers.

MD is going the Amazon way, excellent customer service from my experience, .... . Maybe drops should be marked like MD drop, third party drop, whatever, this way i don't have to waste my time for drops that have nothing to do with the original purpose of this site.

These mats from @mgsickler and NovelKeys are awesome. They are worth every penny in my opinion. I got the Pulse deskmat and love it!
