given the +20% import tax and +£8 admin costs, is this still a good deal if you're in the uk? is there a different place importing that ends up cheaper? (for now anywhere in europe doesn't incur import fees)

dolljointsTry KBDFans or Novelkeys, they might have cheaper shipping options.

dolljointsCandykeys (based off of Germany) stock and sell most of Mike's custom switches on their store - I think they're 0.35€ a pop for Jades/Navies and I've personally bought from them before; not sure if they're currently in stock but they restock fairly often, and overall it'd be much cheaper for you to buy through them (35€ for 100, 5€~ shipping).

dolljointsI grabbed some in the last drop and had to pay (if I'm remembering this correctly) around £16 to get them from the post office. Adding that to the £30 ish that I paid for them it works out at about 40p per switch.

dolljointsThe numbers I've listed are rough numbers but yeah it's only a bit more expensive to grab them from massdrop. What I've found while using Massdrop in the UK is that if you look at the price and just whack a £ in front instead of a $ that's about how much you'll be paying.
There are a few things that have worked out to be cheaper (keycaps and full boards normally have crazy shipping on them from places like MechanicalKeyboards.com so it's always good to have a peak on here from time to time!
