Had no problems with the shipping and the case came in perfect condition. Installed my ducky one two mini pcb and it fit perfectly, including a cut out on the bottom for the dip switches
During the pandemic, I was lucky enough to work from home but had to make a makeshift desk out of my mid-tall height drawer (using it as standing desk) which is made out of walnut.
I have an Asus personal laptop that has wood casing (dark brown wood) and now since I got this case it almost blends right in with the workspace natural wood aesthetic.
Feels great to rest palm on - no extra work was need to sand down. FYI I have long fingers and tall palm, so the "wrist rest" became "palm rest". My hand from middle finger to beginning of wrist is ~7.25 in or 18.5cm, so from the way I type and rest my hand on keyboard my wrist actually hangs outside of the entire casing area.
It comes with space bars and enter key, extra set of little rubber feet, and screws.. Definitely will get another if needed but I have already three keyboards now. No real need yet.
But if there ever is a drop for dark wooden keycaps with side shine throughs... I'd be able to complete my vision of the keyboard build. :)
Overall the case is great to look at. And once you finish your built you gonna love the way it looks especially for the price. However, pcbs are tough to get into this thing. I was only able to set 4 screws in it to hold it in. Definitely takes some extra tools and materials to get this to secure everything. Secondly, near the usb-c cut out there was a ton of wooden strands pointing out. I had to spend an hour sanding it out. Not noticeable but definitely an inconvenience. Overall, nice case but a few problems. But I imagine if you enjoy building your keyboards a little bit of a challenge doesn't bother you too much.
Hey so would you explain how you shaved the mounts? Do you need any specialized equipment or anything cause I just got the case and I would like to be able to fit my gk61
Nice case albeit warped - very comfortable for high profile users

Overall pretty solid build quality - didn't have the same issues other people did fitting the PCB, and everything fit extremely well and tight (this is probably more luck than anything else). I found this case especially nice for high profile keycaps (using mt3), as it eliminated the wrist pain I had using the same keycaps on my previous 60% aluminum case. Given that was the biggest reason I purchased this case, I don't regret it in that sense. I opted for the walnut case, and it's a really nice finish. Another huge hidden benefit I didn't realize is that this case gives you the ability to balance the keyboard on your lap and type. I don't see myself using this too often, but I plan to hook a dedicated PC to my TV at some point and this seems like it's ideal for that to me.
Acoustically speaking, the case sounds alright. I think it sounds better than my old case, but that's not saying much considering my old case being a super dinky aluminum box essentially. Compared to a more premium case I don't think this would sound too good, but it's also much cheaper. The wood gives it a *slightly* deeper tone, but that's probably more to do with the new case just being heavier and having more mass to vibrate than some sort of magical tonewood property. Take that as you will.
Regarding cons, there were a few scratches/scuffs around the main slot & sides of keyboard, but this is extremely minor. Additionally, after about a month of use the rest section has worn a tiny bit, but this is expected for a wooden product.
However, the biggest con is the warping of the case. I didn't care enough to return it, but my case was SIGNIFICANTLY warped compared to the flat looking product image. I was able to mostly fix this via shimming the rubber feet with some pieces of electrical tape, but this is still a pretty major flaw to the product in my opinion. Luckily for me shimming + typing on a desk mat has mostly eliminated the issues of the warping, but using this as it came on a hard surface would be unusable due to the extreme wobbling. If you look at the side view picture above, you can see how the corners have a couple mm of gap from the desk mat, while the middle is practically touching it.
At the end of the day, I think it's still a fairly alright deal if you take the time to fix it, but looking at other reviews it seems that the warping issue really varied per person. In addition, many people experienced difficulty fitting the PCB while I didn't - to me, this suggests larger overall QC issues, as there's a lot of variance here.
Solid, lovely finish, super smooth, nice gold plated board screws. Works perfect with my Ducky mini.
Wrist rest could do with being deeper though, wrists kinda balance on the edge rather than on it. Might get a wood wrist rest to match.
I decided to grab this case for an old Ducky One 2 mini that I had kicking around. I was pleasantly surprised at the feel and build of the case, especially for the price. The finish is pretty well done with a few small tool marks and the usb cutout isn't a 100% fit but it works and nothing worth complaining about. I def recommend if you have a One 2 mini that you want to give a facelift.
removing the three centre standoffs and burger mounting the sides that remain further improves sound. It’s still a stiff board but that adds to the resonance and feel of the timber. With boba u4T and MT3 caps it sounds deep, low, and very natural. Great for the price, only wish the wrist rest was 2-5cm deeper for mid to large hands as I am kind of on the very edge of it.
Pretty nice smell of smarties out of the box and it was nicely packaged too so it was nice. I do like the case although it could be better in certain aspects but its mostly me nitpicking, for the price it is definitely worth the 5 stars the finish is nice and overall the case feels really nice too. I removed the center post since I do like my builds having a lot of flex and for the case being made out of wood it was surprisingly a pain to remove the post so that is a plus for the build quality of the case. For the screws they are long and feel solid the same can be said about the posts so the only reason somebody could strip this case is if they did not screw it counter clockwise first for it to fall into place and then clockwise to tighten. The only issues I had with the case was with the rubber feet since they do tend to slide on my desk but if you do have a desk mat it solves the issue and it really isn't a reason to take off a star since the case is really good for the price.
