BEWARE: If you're using a keyboard like the CTRL which has floating keys, you should be fine, but if you have something that doesnt have floating keys, then you might find problems with the spacebar. I put these onto my Ducky One 2, and the spacebar is so warped that it catches on the way up, making the spacebar stick. If I dont press it down perfectly vertically, it sticks on the way down too. Its not like you can just use a different spacebar either, because its a full rainbow set. I cant use these keys on my ALT because it doesnt have the smaller right shift. The keys look awesome, and have a smooth surface which is unlike other keys I have used before. I really like them, but they are totally useless with a warped spacebar. It just looks like a cheap production process. :(
Would not recommend to a friend.
Can I ask about your cable JSutti? I have two fancy cables, but neither of them work on my Alt. The cables work fine for my Ducky One 2, and my phone etc, but neither of them work on the Alt.
Sometimes the keyboar lights flicker on, but no input recognised. Its like its not getting enough power, and I thought it something to do with the HUB bit in the Alt.
Nice color scheme!
My cable was a botched order. The usb run from the aviator connector was supposed to be 6 feet, not 7 inches. So I had to get a usb extension, which means that the LEDs on my ALT are much dimmer. I haven’t had any flickering though, and I have a new cable being made which will hopefully fix the dimming. The work-around of getting a USB extension was the reason for the dim LEDs (or so I thought). I guess we will see when my new cable gets here.
Thanks for the info. Even with a botched order you are having more luck than me.
I had a cable made, but it didnt work. The supplier said it might be because of the length, so they made me a shorter one, but that doesnt work either.
I now have two fancy cables and a fancy keycap which dont work on the kayboards I intended them for.
Uhhhhh wow man. That really sucks. Have you tried making sure that you’re using a USB 2.0 port instead of a 3.0? I honestly have no clue if it matters, but I do know that USB 3.0 signals don’t travel even half as far as USB 2.0 before losing strength. Even though it is a USB 2.0 cable (I’m assuming).
Now I’m scared that even my new cable will cause the keyboard to be dim too.
USB2 was a good idea! I just tried in USB2, and the lights work but still no keyboard input. If I use a stock cable that came with my phone or whatever I have no issues at all.
I would happily buy another fancy cable if I knew for sure it worked on the Alt.
Let me know how you get on with the dim issue.
Oh damn the cable is THAT broken? That’s rough. It might be the coil just being too much length (for the dimness, not inputs not working). My jumbo coil uses 9 feet of cable to make, plus the aviator connector, plus the usb extension. The cable being made for me right now is a smaller and tighter coil, an aviator, and 7 feet of usb to get to my PC. It’s kinda far away lol
