I spoke with customer support and they said that as of a couple days ago (when I emailed them) they are on track to ship on the expected date. Not sure how true that is but just wanted to update anyone else who was also wondering.
BrazzieI just got the email too and it doesn’t specify how long but they said that if it’s longer than 30 days they will send out another email saying so. Fingers crossed it’ll ship by next week. I ordered a dz60 pcb a month ago and it shipped out just under a week after the expected date.
Classic, absolutely zero information until ship date and then a delay notice. Trying to remind myself why I bought anything from this website. Have you lot heard of communication?
Just got an email from drop and they said "The units are in transit to our warehouse and we now expect to begin shipping on the 2/26/2021." Super excited for this case but it was a long wait
Absolutely ridiculous that places like KBDFans recieved and shipped these already. We're just stuck getting these crappy update emails every once in a while. If I didn't already have a full build planned out for this I would've cancelled already. Really makes me think twice about buying from here going forward.
The kbdfans listing replied to a comment asking if it’s compatible with dz60hotswap and kbdfans said they tested and it is not compatible
:(. I’m looking into installing mill max hotswap sockets into a solder pcb in order to have it fit. Alternatively, I might try mounting the pcb with o-rings underneath and see if that gives enough height for the Kailh hotswap sockets to fit. I’ve done this o ring mount on a tofu before but not sure if it’ll be tall enough until I have the keyboard case in hand.
I love the style, the colors, but the silence around shipping dates and lack of clarification from the creator whether or not this case would work with hot-swap pcbs does not instill confidence.
Will probably cancel my order in a week if no one steps up and makes clarification on when shipping will happen and whether or not hotswap pcbs work.
Apparently if you haven't received yours by now, and ask support, they don't bother with a response and just quietly refund you money, probably wouldn't of been notified if I didn't see that email from PayPal. real sad I didnt get mine :(
CAbautistaWow. Such abysmal support is so unnecessary. If KBDFans halfway across the world and speaking a different language can communicate to their customers, so can you, Drop. Why are you like this? It's like they want to push business away.
CAbautistaThey at least told me why they gave me my refund. This is pretty much the reason for mine:
"After additional QC checks, it has been brought to our attention that the purple case received is not the color as advertised."
I mean, cool, but it would have been nice to have been given some sort of choice in the matter. It's great that they're concerned with it matching the picture, but 1) why in the hell did it take so many months for them to realize that the purple one wasn't right? and 2) I'm sure I'm not the only one who would have compromised and picked a different color because, at the end of the day, I needed a damned case.
But nah, instead I was given $10 in credit and told to go to the back to the line despite incurring months of delays and piss-poor communication. Ridiculous.
I think I'll just stick with KBDFans and ZealPC for my keyboard needs moving forward. I've had nothing but good experiences with both vendors.
I really hope they are not going to wait until the end of February to tell us they are going to be delayed for over a month. An update would be nice so I could stop coming here to check if there was one.
Billyb7373I really hope someone at Drop reads these. The biggest improvements they've made over the years are in customer service, but the lack of communication with customers is literally a meme in the communities they serve.
BrazzieI did, yeah.
At this rate we're going to experience the heat death of the universe (or witness the release of Half-Life 3) before everyone gets their keyboard case.
