If this is anything like the MKC Stainless Steel Keycap Puller, which it looks like it is, then be warned that it is extremely easy to break. In fact, mine originally came broken (which Massdrop did replace very quickly). The metal "whisks" are attached to the metal handle in a very flimsy way. After normal use, it is very easy to accidentally snap one of the sides off from the handle's base.

NPK007Thank you, this was critical information. I have purchased a cooking whisk before that had flimsy attachments so I can imagine the problem you are describing. Never again!

NPK007Just want to piggyback on this. The metal tines (for lack of a better word) on this do appear to be soldered (NOT welded!) into the handle like they are on the MKC version. Solder joints won't hold up to continuous key pulling. So you can expect this key puller to break at any time. Buyer beware.

NPK007That's for that useful load of info brah, I'm ditching this one. :D
NPK007I pulled the "whisk" out on two of MKC ones myself, but so far this one seems like it's held in place better. I'll keep using it for all the caps I pull while this drop is up (which tends to be a lot) and let you know if it fails or anything.

AlexPkIs NPKC a Massdrop house brand because it seems MD only has only NPKC branded keyboards and accessories.

NPK007For those who have their broken MKC puller, I found a solution that is quite sturdy.

The solder is there to keep the wire intact. I use the wire I harvest from a plant twist tie.

zynhcsNice. That is a lot better than my solution. I just covered the thing in epoxy. I don't think it will ever come apart, but it looks like there is a large pile of snot around the joint between the handle and wire.
