Comparison between HEM8 and Shure SE846?
OracleKevThe 846 is superior. The bass extension and impact is substantially better and the midrange is smoother. The top end on both is close when the 846 is using black filters but when using white filters the 846 offers better extension and sparkle over the HEM8. With that being said, at this price, the HEM8 is hard to beat and is still competitive outside of pure technical prowess. If you're not willing to spend more on the 846 for better technicalities and better bass (as well as a better suite of accessories and packaging) the HEM8 is worthy.
I daily my 846 with black filters and triple flange tips and love the combo. They are perfectly weighted and ergonomically I can't think of a more comfy IEM (stable while biking, can lay on your side while sleeping, etc).
And even if this is very subjective, the 846 in its clear housing is easily one of the most beautiful IEMs you could put into your ears. If you care about that sort of thing, that is.

jaydunndidditThanks for the reply! Own the 846 (love it), so wanted to hear comparison to see if it's worthwhile to add the HEM8. Guess what I'm looking for is something at the 846 calibre, but with different characters.

OracleKevHi OracleKev,
If you love the 846, then you want to get married with the Noble U10! :)

JohanBoggI think maybe, I'm not sure but would take a wild guess...Noble Kaiser (Shoze) 10 Universal Aluminum Massdrop edition was the one worth marry into.
