I am a treble sensitive bass head and these have been amazing for me.
As others have said, despite having lots of bass, it is still tight and accurate. They seem fairly sensitive as well, making audible noise at even the lowest volume setting on my Sansa Clip+ (though it is difficult to ignore your own breathing at such low volumes due to pretty good isolation). Higher frequencies aren't isolated as much as the rest of the spectrum due to the ported nature of the enclosure, and there can be some pressure issues when initially inserting them (driver crinkle). Despite the flat cable it is still slim enough to wear over the ear, which I always do. However, I think this hurts the purpose of having a flat cable in the first place as it doesn't seem as tangle resistant as some other flat cabled IEMs I've owned with thicker cables. Ear tips seem to have gotten more supple with use.
Having owned VSonic VSD1S, Soundmagic E10, RHA MA350, JBL J33, and Sennheiser's IE60, and a host of other cheap stuff, these NE-600X's have my favorite frequency response . They're not perfect in other respects, but they are cheap.
