How are these vs the Shure se-215?
These are a significant step up from the SE215's
Their direct competitor would be the quad-driver 846's. How much of a competition it is, however, is another question.
You seem to be basing this on driver count. These are not direct competitors of the SE846. Even at original MSRP these were about half the price of the SE846. More like the SE425.
I wonder how it compares to the SE535.
I am basing it on the flagship status, driver count (yes), crossover arrangement, and the focus as detail-oriented, neutral monitor. I am very aware of the price and, I'm guessing, the quality difference. Being a competitor doesn't mean everything is the same about it, just that they seem to be shooting for the same customers.
Coming Promo 8 with Shure 535? In my case, no comparison. I do want to highlight the 535 is light at base also.
