standsI don't own the P1 so I can't directly compare but from my experience with the Primo 8 and what I've read about the P1, I think they are about on par technically, with a similar signature. I don't think they would be a significant upgrade if you already own the P1.

standsI've heard both at a local store and I'd say it's a preference. P1 have better details. Primo8 have better isolation and fit.

standsan upgrade and a preference.
pinnacle has a lighter sounding, emphasizing on acoustic quality. whereas primo is just a bigger machine with not much emphasis

standsI personally prefer the P1. Here's why; The Pinnacle construction is just plain BETTER. Solid, meaty feel,(which is good if you like that), and, for me, much better sound isolation, better insertion. And NO wonky cable issues. One feels like these could take on a tank and still play...certainly would handle some portability bang about, which is part of what IEMs are supposed to manage, in my thinking, they will survive being sat upon, for instance. The NuForce don't feel that durable. And then there's that wonky cable insertion/connection issue.... I see it as significant that people are buying the MEE P1 cable to go with the NuForce IEMs...
I also like the sound just a TAD better. Not a lot, but the Pinnacle is more clean and lucid and crisp to my ear. I wonder if, for stage work, the Pinnacle wouldn't be better. Aren't you looking for better isolation? The NuForce don't separate the various "voices" as well, they sound very slightly,(SLIGHTLY), muddy.
Of course, a CIEM is always best for stage, I do believe.

TiffanyPoodleslidethis was what i was after. thanks!
I hate to say this but this has led me to believe in the evaluation of IEMs - technical terminologies such as BA or a gazilion drivers does not equate to good sound.
this sucks because one would then need to really test them out to evaluate them and not so much just a 10 minute store test as I see many feedback here about their experience over time.
Much appreciated. At the prie and also the brand - i'd be hoping for a lot more consistency in QC.
Otherwise i could be ordering 4-5 identical Chinese branded sets for the same price and would probably arrive sooner too. that way - I'd favour my odds of at least finding 1 that works well and still have the rest as spare parts lol not to mention paypal protection..
