When O’Douds Apothecary founder Clayton Douds couldn’t find the kind of grooming products he wanted—high-quality formulas, responsibly sourced ingredients—he started making his own. Within a year, his hobby of crafting pomades became a full-time business based in Brooklyn. Try the matte paste for voluminous and textured looks, the standard pomade for classic styles (like pompadours and slick backs), or the styling treatment for a relaxed, super-manageable ‘do. For easy restyling after the pool, lake, or beach, try the Blue Summer water-resistant heavy-hold pomade. Or if versatility is what you seek, grab the multipurpose pomade, which works well for straight, fine, thick, and curly hair. Use one scoop for a loose look, two scoops for a more refined look, and three scoops to slick it back.
