I was worried this thing might be a dud based on some of the reviews here, but I was surprised after actually opening and turning it on. It works great, blows just like compressed air and is about as loud as a vaccum. 10/10 would buy again.
Does as advertised. Blows all the dust out of my keyboard and can even clear pet fur from my mousepad, which was an added bonus. It's very loud so you can't use it at night if people are sleeping, but boy can this thing blow.
Its overpriced for the usage. I would still need a can of air for really tight or tough spots. I crushed the tip into a flat chisel shape to try and help. I have used it for general blowing but not really as good as cans or even the Datavac MetroVac you plug in.
Have used it to inflate a few mattresses however. Which is handy.
Most fun thing I've purchased on Massdrop. I use it in tandem with my vacuum when dusting my electronics. It isn't as strong/concentrated as compressed air, but I wasn't expecting that. If I didn't live in an apartment, I'd buy a compressor instead.
This thing is complete garbage. Do not purchase. It has the blowing power of a 2 month old child, aka none. Do not waste your money. I honestly don't understand why this has good reviews. Although I never experienced it, probably because I tossed it in the trash within a few days of owning it, there are supposedly some pretty scary concerns regarding unintended battery expansion. Super unsafe.
Again, do not buy this piece of garbage.
BowserUSCJust FYI for anyone reading, the blowing power increases a surprising amount after a few uses.
I, too, was very disappointed when I first received mine. Now though, the thing will blow anything away that is somewhat light if it's not secured down. It is actually seriously powerful.
I bought the X3 "260mph" version. Barely blows faster than myself. Compared to a $0.99 can of air, it's like a gentle breeze. I bought it expecting this to be almost a strong as a simple can of compressed air. The included manual says that it gets stronger after a couple of charges, however, even after a couple charges, it still has very little power.
A better alternative to this item is using your own hand in a fanning motion. This way you have a better chance to produce a more powerful gust then this thing ever can.
So loud it hurt my ears. I was also surprised that it did not come with a fine nozzle which seems like something that would increase the air pressure coming out of the nozzle. I was not that impressed with the output of air. I thought I was getting something that was more like a compressed air system rather than a small loud hair dryer without the heat.
Airflow is well below that of canned air, not really useful for anything but the most cursory of dust removals. It also sounds like a hurricane. So I guess the product was named well? Anyway, bottom line, not fit for purpose.
