Major bust by all companies involved on this one. The month long wait for the exclusive boot ended up being a major mistake. I received my boots all nicely packaged up, but with one problem, the upper was completely crooked. I contacted Oak Street, because the boots were seemingly well constructed otherwise (this was just a minor oversight right?) and I needed a nice pair of black boots. I assumed (perhaps wrongly?) that they would send me a new pair of the same, instead Oak Street chose to repair the same boots. (it’s still ok though right, at least they’re going to be great when I get them?) Unfortunately, once I finally received the repaired boots back they immediately have another issue - the leather tab to pull them on rips the first time I try them on. Keep in mind, I committed to these on Massdrop in late April, when I get the repaired boots back its now mid-August. At this point, according to Massdrop policies (because its been more than 30 days), I am now the owner of questionable quality boots and can either send them back and wait another 6 weeks for Oak Street to repair them (they don’t have any more new pairs of this boot), or I can just keep the defective pair and essentially eat the money I paid for them. Massdrop has refused to stand behind this product, Oak Street puts the blame on Massdrop for any refund. And I now have some crappy boots. I have a great pair of Chippewa’s, from Huckberry, highly recommend that boot/vendor combo over Oak Street/MD.

I just received my size 13 Oakstreet Captoe Boots in black milled calf and they are easily an inch too big. I'm typically exactly a 13 in most shoes including boots and these extend almost two thumbs-widths beyond my big toe. If anyone has a pair of 12s or 12.5s that they feel are too snug, I'd be happy to trade.

I find it crazy making that boot and shoe makers don't offer widths. Everybody isn't a "narrow D".
Yep. I have to go up a size to fit my feet.

I sincerely hope that this and the calf bluchers represent another direction for OSB. The price for these boots and the bluchers, given their high quality, is difficult (if not impossible) to beat. Leather soles are wonderful, and OSB's are very comfortable, and soften quickly after putting them on in the morning. That satisfying leather sole tap is hard to beat, too, of course. They're a great office shoe. So, if that's your environment, do not pass up this opportunity. For me, I want them! But, living in Michigan, and not having an office job, I'm set for nice leather-sole shoes (on the relatively rare occasion that I wear them). I also don't have a close local cobbler, and, I'm not a fan of wellies (guess I really ought to be though!). Practicality is important for me with footwear. I own (and have owned, but sold) many nice shoes. Oak Street makes shoes that work perfectly for me. My favorite pair of shoes is their Trench Oxford. (I will be ordering a custom pair in black at some point, I hope!) In fact, what I really want to do, is to sell other shoes to justify purchasing at least the Seidel Chrome boots (I already own a pair of the black leather sole Lakeshore boots) and both bluchers. It is nice to see this company expand their lines, with more Dainite options, for instance. So, buy them if you can, and OSB, please keep on moving forward.

Pic of the sole?
360 Goodyear welt?
I wear 10.5 D in Allen Edmonds dress shoes and boots and they fit snug. What size would you reccomend?
Wish this had a danite sole for year round versatility.

I wear an 11.5 in the Oak Street Trench Boot. Should I go with an 11.5 here or are they too narrow?

Reading the previous post, I understand that these were already made and not made to order. If there's a way to be wait listed for the 8.5 in brown, would love to know!

Once purchased and tried on is there any way to fix if they don't fit well?
brcook99The drop states that sales are final, however if mine don't fit I plan to just sell them on ebay to some other lucky person.
