Oak Street Bootmakers was founded by George Vlagos, who fell in love with shoemaking while apprenticing at his father’s shoe repair shop. These days, George strives to preserve the heritage of the craft through a combination of thoughtful design and careful attention to detail. By working closely with George and his team, using overruns of amazing leathers and creating new designs, we’re able to offer these chukka boots exclusively on Massdrop—at a price never before seen from Oak Street Bootmakers. This is American-made welted footwear that’s easy on the wallet. Each pair features the new, refined LaSalle last (the company’s most formal and contemporary to date) and leather from Milwaukee’s Seidel tannery or France’s famous Tannerie d’Annonay.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of color (bourbon French calf, charcoal nubuck, or tumbled oxblood French calf) and size (full and half sizes from 8 to 13, plus 14 and 15). Some boots will have a dovetail heel, while others will have a full rubber heel (the rest of the sole is still leather). Quantities are limited.
