kuziguI purchased a pair of Chippewa Cap Toe "engineer" boots nearly twenty years ago for something like $180. I think they're up to $250 or so at this point. The design goes back 100 years and is exactly what Oak Street is borrowing from for this boot. While I have zero doubt that Oak Street's boot is solid, my Chippewa's have been going strong for two decades, get regular compliments and wear like iron. I love them. In fact, between them and my Blundstones, I feel no need for a third pair of casual boots.
