I'm with you that polarized lenses are better but from experience they can peel over time or when not properly maintained. I have non-polarized sunnies of the same age and they're still fine except for minor scratches from normal wear and tear.

For that price I probably would have bought these and gotten better polarized lens later if I felt like I needed them. Just sucks the drop is for this ugly color scheme/combo that I am not a fan of otherwise I would have joined. Still wish Massdrop didn't cancel my order on the Jupiter Carbon Ferrari drop they did a couple months ago...I really liked those and am still butthurt about it.
