Ok so I did receive the watch here in Canada. For everyone I had to pay almost $30 Canada Post Taxes!!! Yes!!! So it came up to the same price you would pay at amazon and you don't have to wait 1 month for it.
Plus sorry but the watch looks cheap, feels cheap and I am not sure it really worth all the hustle. But how good do this watch look on massdrop photos ;)
1. The clasp is vobbly, shaky and makes constant squeeking noise! 2. The watch case sharply finished and poking my wrist, it feels so uncomfortable due to such sharp edges all over. 3. The dials are the same, poking my wrist maybe its not polished well enough I don't know. 4. And maybe the major drawback from the watch it's glass. It's made protruding out of the case and it's not saphire crysal of any kind so one hit and it will be the end to the watch period! 5. 42mm case didn't seem large but because of such construcion the watch feels and look massive. If you knock the glass with your finger it makes sound of cheap plastic glass (even Citizen and Seiko sound of better quality).
I hope this watch will make someone happy, for me this is just waste of two hundred dollars. I probably save funds for the better quality watch next time.

VAS007I'm just looking at the photos but have to agree with everything you say. Sometimes it's just best to let them go and move on. Guarantee that somebody somewhere will like it and be prepared to pay for the pleasure of it. Unfortunately that's not going to be me on this occasion!

i put wrong delivery address and the shipping label has been created. is there some way to change the delivery address. if not what will happen to my shipment?

i did. they asked me to contact the shipping company. and i tried to contact fedex, and i cannot change the shipping address unless I am the sender. so I am stuck in a loop here.

This watch seems a little too chunky. I would buy it if it were 38 or 40mm but 42 seems too big. It's a beautiful design, especially in the ocean color, but the size is a dealbreaker.

zvnmlugs at 20, and thickness isn't that much, so it'll wear "small" for a 42.

OnePunchManNo he was wright! The watch is chunky, it looks so huge for that 42mm, it makes squeeking noise, it does catch everything with the back clasp, plus it does bite hair, it is super uncomfrotable really. Plus that glass......it will be the end to the watch if you hit something by accident. I am deeply unstatisfed, this would be my last Obaku product.

Does anyone have one of these with the steel mesh? How is it? Is it easy to adjust? Does the mesh ever get caught in arm hair? How does it handle sweat?

Thanks! I was feeling a little bad that I didn't get this watch. The Massdrop photos look really beautiful. I'm sorry you're so disappointed. I haven't seen any other watch on Massdrop, or anywhere, that I think is as beautiful as the Ocean version of this watch. Oh well.

zvnmI think you can easily buy it off amazon. Last time I checked it was available and at the same price as here (if not better ;). For me I think I found the replacement to my situation hahahha I should've waited for this drop Glycine Airman Quartz Watch. Just look at the quality for only $60 more then this Obaku. Plus I was looking for an EDC watch so I don't scratch my TAG to death, it was my fault for believing there is fine product for the fracture of the price. Money thrown out of the window if I don't sapphire crystal glass plus if the glass is 40mm wide (way to dangerous for daily use, unless your job is dealing cards at a casino).

Obaku couldn't provide us with the date mark somewhere bewteen 3pm and 6pm? Anyone knows what type of glass used in this watch?

Well, after quick deliberation I decided in favor of getting one ;) I got the "charcoal" version. Thanks for your two cents on the date, there is some truth of not having it after all ;)

Be careful with Obaku watches. Massdrop tends to deliver them wrongly. I had to wait 1 MONTH before i eventually got a shipping label back by them.

They don't have the straps listed on their website. Unfortunately, you have to call in and ask them what versions they have available for that model and they will tell you, along with pricing for each.

you can also get the same watch with Seiko meca quartz at Aliexpress from pagani design at around usd 50.

Not unattractive, not expensive, but imho style over practicality. The top 24 hour dial and the lower minute dial need numbers at least on the hashmarks to be easily readable. The whole point of a dual timer is to see the second time at a glance. Still, I'm sure some will overlook this and buy based on the overall aesthetic.
