I am interested in trying some of this paper, but am leery to purchase. I have a heavy hand and worry about smearing. I have also heard, that this type of paper has a tendency for snatching fountain pen nibs. I prefer fine and even extra-fine nibs. I worry that I may not be able to use my sharper-tipped nibs on this paper.

sallenA few things you (and others) might find interesting:
1. If you use fountain pens, there are better paper choices out there for you. As I understand it, this paper is NOT recommended for fountain pens. With pencils others have reported that this paper really rocks. That said, I don't own any Ogami products so this is all second hand. If you read a few pages back, others have posted of their experiences.
2. For more info about these and similar products that Massdrop often carries, check out this pdf link: http://www.fiorentinaltd.com/downloads/FIORENTINA-2015.pdf
3. With apologies to Bob Dylan, "Everybody must get stoned" .... [paper].
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

sallenSallen, if you are still considering stone paper and live in the US, walk into any Walgreens and browse their stationary section, there's a high probability that you will find Oxford stone paper spiral notebooks. The A5 sells for about $4. Give it a spin, the Oxford is not the same quality as the Ogami, but if you don't like the Oxford you will not like the Ogami either.

TherocThank you, Theroc for the suggestion. I do live in the States, so I may have to stick my head in one and see if I can find some of this intriguing paper.
