Totally dig these - I got that 0.3mm (because I love tiny writing) and 0.9mm (because I love bold writing) and they're kind of a perfect combination.
I wasn't entirely certain when I first opened mine, but the barrels on here are actually aluminum, and everything else except for the label/lead refill part that I can tell is metal construction.
They have a great heft and balance, and I love being able to retract the nozzle(?)
As long as I don't keep dropping them occasionally, I expect these to last quite a long time.
Edit: Oh yeah - if you were planning on using the built in erasers, don't. Do yourself a favor and get an external one.
I got these to replace a broken plastic drafting pencil I had been using for twelve years. That was my favorite pencil, I used it for everything from technical drawings to art and writing. These are effectively the same, just metal so hopefully I won't break them! Build quality is excellent, and there's a couple extra features which is nice.
I have quite a few mechanical pencils, from cheap to expensive. This is the first that breaks lead almost immediately every time with my standard lead of F hardness. There are cool features (hardness indicator etc) but if I can’t write or draw with it...
