Bulk order shipped! The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse in New Jersey. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive on 8/23.

We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us!

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Olympus E-PL5 Mirrorless Camera w/ 14-42mm Lens and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 8/23.

That stops it for me. The risk of a customs duty kills it for Canadians - unless it's clearly indicated that it's part of the shipping fee. Regardless, It would be better if the order was locally fulfilled. There are numerous agents in Canada and Europe that do that sort of thing and all fees are factored into the ship fee.

jackrhsUSD always. I'm from Canada and I've never had an issue with customs when ordering from Massdrop. Most expensive item I've ordered was around $200 as well so I cant imagine you'll have problems with customs.

ggiebelhausIt depends on how the shipment comes in. If it's via USPS/Canada Post then there's a chance one will get away with no customs fees. If it's UPS or Purolator or one of those outfits - it will be GUARANTEED that Canadians will be dinged for customs. Can anyone answer how this camera will ship?

truthDepends - what are your needs? If you want a compact camera that has much better quality than a cell phone (or point and shoot) then the e-pl5 is a good choice. If you want to invest more in getting lenses, then there's a wide choice of lenses available for relatively reasonable prices.

We've reached back out to the vendor for the latest update on the group's order and have been told that all individual packages were dropped off at the shipping facility today and tracking numbers should be live shortly. As soon as we've confirmed that all orders are picked up and en route we will notify the group accordingly.
