esealeThey arrived. And they do sound great, the deep click of the ALPS just got more bassier. Only bad thing is I got no homing keys in the package, which is a shame.
Awesome - surprise Alps PBT keycaps. I'd be all over these if they weren't XDA/DSA profile. Hopefully we'll start to see more custom dye subbed PBT Alps keycap sets.
Can we get a photo of the undersides of the stepped Caps Lock and ISO Enters? The set looks promising, but I was wondering whether it will be compatible with something like a Dell AT102W or an Acer 6012. The gap on the stepped Caps Lock shown here is larger than on those aforementioned boards (or on the stepped Caps Lock Tai-Hao manufactures and sells), for one thing. It would be fantastic if this set could be a solution to getting replacement ISO sets for old boards.
Ja4341will definitely be looking for this. Only reason I didn't get these was for the lack of ergo-friendliness - I would really like to see 1u "spacebars" (rounded keycaps) and other color options. But this looks to be a good step in the right direction!
I just read up on the xd64. Like you said, the PCB supports MX and Alps switches.
I was confused at first because both my Alps boards have wire stabilizers (boards from the 90's and early 2000).
This keycap set is more for a new Alps keyboard build because cherry stabilizers are common these days. It allows someone to build a custom original Alps or Matias switch keyboard and use the more common stabilizer.
I want to know the stabilizer type so that the specs of the product can be updated. That way people don't get confused or angry when they receive this product and it has a different stabilizer type than they were expecting.
erickongYes you are right, the supported stabilizer type is very important for alps switch user, like me, before knowing this product, I used to think there only has one type alps keycap all over the world....
Can you please provide a pic of just all the keycaps together? There is one that appears to show this, but upon closer inspection, the quantities don't seem correct.
