Got my OnePlus 2 yesterday. I'm not going to do an in depth review like EatingInternet, but I'll give you all my two cents. For the record, I agree, the shipping time for you guys is pretty awful. But I think I still plan to use Massdrop for item with larger discounts where I'd be okay with waiting a bit longer. This is a unique case because OnePlus started a sale with identical value at the same time, kind of negating the use of Massdrop at the time. No hard feelings though, I'm sure I'll use this site again.
As for the phone, holy balls I love it. It's my first smartphone, but I know a LOT about phones. I've just never had the means to purchase one. The 1080p display is gorgeous. Samsung phones up the saturation on their displays to make them look brighter, but comparing this to my friend's S6, I can tell you I'm about equally as impressid in terms of resolution. No discernible pixels from a reasonable distance, or even kind of close up. Obviously blacks aren't going to be as deep as OLED or AMOLED, and of course no ambient display, but we need to keep in mind the price difference here. Bottom line, it's a fantastic display.
Build quality is awesome. In the words of Linus on YouTube, "It feels like a tool, not a toy." Maybe a bit hefty for some, but seriously premium and solid. Sandstone back feels very durable and adds just the right amount of grip. Curved back helps hid that it's a bit thick at the thickest point, but you can't even tell. Not to mention that thickness hides a fantastic battery. Full day of use, easy. I got a Rosewood StyleSwap cover, and it fits like a glove. A little thicker than the Sandstone, but not even noticeable, and actually brings the camera bump to flush.
Fingerprint reader is great. Not perfect, but great. From what I've seen on the OnePlus forums, the new Marshmallow update will only make it better. Oxygen OS is an awesome near-stock experience with only positive additions for customization. Cameras are up there with the best. Solid auto-focus, crisp picture and video in decent lighting, OIS, manual mode, panorama, slowmo, it's all there. Alert slider is going to be great for school. Maxx Audio I prefer to go without, but it's easy to enable and disable, and is nice to have when watching a video with friends or in a loud area and you need a volume boost.
You will be very happy with this phone. It's everything I expected and more, and couldn't be happier. Whether you ordered the 2 or the X, I think you'll feel it was worth the wait.
