I've got one, added a separate stereo amp to give 7.1.4. I'm impressed so far.
Itle be out of date next year if HDMI 2.1 is a must have. I've only just bought a new tv so itle do me for a couple of years at least
The only "2.2" I see in the specs is " HDCP 2.2 Copy-Protection Compatibility". As for the HDMI, the newest HDMI written spec is 2.1 with only a handful of A/V equipment available with it now. It looks like 2019 will be the year of HDMI 2.1 and High Dynamic Range Plus (HDR+). Until then I'm sticking with my old stuff....
trak49Well then this receiver IS one of the few that has HDMI 2.2. Here is a quote from a link that describes the 730...
On the video side, the TX-RZ730 and TX-RZ830 include HDMI pass-through of HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) and Dolby Vision formats as well as 4K/60p, BT.2020, 4:4:4, 24bit, and HDCP 2.2-protected video. Six rear HDMI inputs, Main Out, Zone 2 Out (Sub Out on the TX-RZ730) and a front HDMI input are included on both models.

Howdy Everyone,
Please take notice:
Note: The drop price listed is the Minimum Advertised Price set by the manufacturer. Massdrop is not allowed to advertise lower than the MAP price.
At checkout, you’ll be able to activate a discount coupon (-$300).
The products offered on this drop are brand-new US goods, never opened, and will have a full warranty with Onkyo.
Cheers.
dnogsI've been using Sonos products since around 2005, so I'm a big fan. Whole house synchronized streaming is a great feature marred by having to separately turn on a receiver and set the right input. I'm considering this drop primarily for the Sonos integration.
By the way, the coupon option is for -$3000, not -$300 -- might want to fix that, because nobody will be able to order one (since you can't make an order with a negative price, and you must select an option)
