The karambit has been around for centuries. Its origins can be traced back to 11th-century East Asia, where it was first used as an everyday tool, only later to be converted into a weapon for self defense. Ontario’s Micarta Ranger EOD karambit is a modern update to this time-tested edge. It features a blade made from 5160 stainless steel, which is known for its toughness in the outdoors. Measuring 3.5 inches, it has a hawkbill shape with a long, curved edge and a sharp tip. For a secure grip, the handle is made from micarta with a textured gray finish to complement the black powder-coated blade. Stowe the knife in the nylon sheath on the go.
