Definitely a level above the rest in terms of quality and comfort. I was surprised right out of the box with the dense and hefty feel of the Orca. Together with the quality machining around the edges and the nicely etched logo, the rest definitely gives off a premium feel. When paired with my GMK67, the 65% model I chose fit perfectly with the width of the keyboard, and the slight angle on the rest pairs nicely no matter what angle I had my keyboard set to. The typing experience has been comfortable to say the least, and it places my hands at an ideal angle for typing. I prefer to use mine about 1cm away from the keyboard because I have longer fingers. The anti-slip rubber pads under the rest help with dampening some of the vibrations, and give off a nice 'thump' when the rest is placed on the desk.
Got one for myself and one for my sister who just got into keyboards. Both were warped, but that's expected for a wooden wrist rest. My sister's was minimal and required minimal sanding, while mine took moderate sanding. Great look and quality, just expect some warping with wood at this price point.
If you so happen to be a fan of vintage boards, it is easy to find oneself being stuck with the fullsize standard as space-saving keyboards tended to be rare and expensive at the time, and currently are equivalent to unobtanium. The best solution is to have something that feels premium and matches the tone of the board. Wood is perfect for this and the typing feel is massively improved with this wrist rest since I refuse to type without one at my home setup. It looks elegant, is light, and has great grips underneath.
The wristrest looks better in person than it does online! Depending on your setup, it could give a different vibe to your desk. In mine, it gives a retro look and I really like it :)
Unfortunately, it isn't perfect - there is this dent on the corner that was poorly covered with clay (and as you can see below the dent, part of it flaked off too!). I am alright with small defects, but for $40, I was hoping the defect would be hidden better than this...
But still, a great product overall. I would recommend it!
