Product Description
Orient’s Capital collection features many of the same design elements as the ever-popular Bambino: 40-millimeter case, dauphine hands, applied hour markers. But with its caliber HS911 quartz movement, this understated dress watch features a traditional spin you won’t find on its automatic counterpart Read More

Just writing to say how pleased I am with this watch. That domes sunburst dial and retro design make this watch look like a watch that costs many times more. The 8mm thickness makes it very comfortable to wear. I also bought the Seiko Cocktail watch here in a similar diameter but that is much thicker and therefore less comfortable and does not look at elegant as this watch.
I am not a fan of shiny painted straps. So, I will change to a high quality strap that may cost more than the watch itself but that does not matter as the watch itself cost so little and a good strap totally enhances the appearance of a watch.
I own many prestige brand mechanical watches but the reality is that keeping them wound is a nuisance - purists are sure to disagree with me on this, With the quartz movement you are confident the time is always correct.

I ordered two of these watches; they arrived today. The stainless steel one was indeed new-in-box. There was a little plastic block under the crown to keep it out and the watch stopped.
The other watch, a gold one, had the crown pushed in. It was already running. So, what's the deal? How long has this watch been running?

Still waiting to hear about the black bands. This shouldn't be a big deal on a silver watch.

jonroHey @jonro -
We can only offer to you what Orient offers to us - in this case, it's the Capital with the strap shown. There aren't any other options, unfortunately. The same can be seen on their website, too - I promise we're not just holding out on you!
In general, I'm of the opinion that the strap should not be a major factor when buying a watch, as their cost is much lower than the watch and they're easy to swap out (and leather ones don't last forever, anyway). Just my two cents.

The Orient Bambino cost only $15 more at US$99.99 and it looks better with the Orient insignia on the dial and crown. Personally, I'll wait for the Orient Bambino drop. Note: the Bambino's automatic mechanism is kinda loud, hence, if that will annoy you then just get the Capital watch :-) https://www.massdrop.com/buy/orient-bambino-watch
