With my watch the only problem is that if the screw in crown is all the way screwed in then the minute marker gets stuck at 53 minute position stopping the movement and the watch does not run.
So, a quick fix is to screw the crown only half way but then I guess its not 100% water resistant :)
LHSolutionsActually having a screw-down crown is pretty much unimportant if we're discussing water resistance. Screw-down's are meant to protect the stem and the attached movement and have very little influence on water resistance.
sprk1I did notice that the screw down crown has a tiny o-ring seal so not sure about that :)
I`m still happy with the watch and never swim with a watch on hehe
LHSolutionsYeah pretty much any modern watch that's water resistance has a combination of gaskets and/or orings either on the crown itself and/or the stem tube. This is what gives them water resistance. That being said, I only swim with divers watches with rubber straps. Everything else gets removed before hitting the water.
