AmsterdamnedThat's why I only got back $130 aud when I sold on my Kamasu, owed me $180aud with Drop rewards; oh well easy come easy go!! But watchyoutalkingabout does raise a good point it does pay to be careful/certain as possible(it is hard to get to properly inspect a lot of watches here in OZ) ,even with cheapies!! Checkout the Geckota sake for a reasonable bargain!!
How come I can buy a watch with a sapphire crystal for less than a hundred bucks online but Orient still puts a mineral crystal in these? I'm serious. I LOVE my orients but they get worn less than they would because I scratch the crystal up over time and they look crappy. IT's hard to not see these scratches and it's frustrating that it is preventable. How about DROP sell us a crystal press?
Did you buy that Hamilton chrono? Just saw the leather band on Ashford, works out at $221 usd delivered!!! You also might find the "Forzo" community platform interesting; it is the Geckota people releasing a new purely Racing inspired watch brand, along-side Geckota, they are just finishing their designs and are asking the community for input regularly.

Ultimately decided to pass on the Hamilton--liked the watch but not the Minutes only indices on the dial. I did check the Ashford price though--it's slightly higher, but still a good deal for those less picky than myself ;- )

As someone who has 3 orients, this is a waste of money.
A point one can never mention often often enough!
First, one has to save up for the watch, and then for the subsequent services! And let's not forget the time without a watch while waiting for that service, then transportation costs, plus insurance both ways. Sounds like a money pit for sure!
I remember my first Ferrari--sure it was easy enough to save up the first $2.5 million, but in the end it was the oil changes and valve jobs that finally put me under ;- )
RayFTell me about it! At first it was all fun and games until I got to my first major maintenance service. It costs me $10,000 a year just for basic maintenance. Now if you add my annual cost to insure the car you’re talking about Aquanaut money. Geez!!
