The reviews seem to indicate an issue with the crown, makes me hesitant.

Hi, I have tried to buy a couple of watches from Jomashop. Each time they have added over $100 in import and shipping costs for me in Australia. Drop always has reasonable shipping only when it comes to extra costs. May be I will try Jomashop again, in case they have changed their set up. They might have the facility to drop the tax for where you live before shipment ,but with Drop you may have to claim it back after delivery. I know there is similar situations for me when I have bought items in U.K. But I do agree with the warranty issue, especially for a brand like Orient; they are a big company: I could understand lack of warranty for some micro brands, but was surprised at no warranty on this Drop. I bought anyway as the price was good. Even came back tonight to buy the red bezel watch as well; but sold out.

I ordered the RA-AA0005B19B, but I know I won't like the strap on it. A lot of you are more into watches, so what would you recommend as a replacement?

I ordered the same with the blue dial, good value as I don't really wear bracelets; but I have already have a collection of at least 5 leather straps which are my personal preference which will work. If you haven't got any spares then there are many suppliers. Out of the U.S. I have used Strapsco, and Bartons, and in Australia I highly recommend The Sydney strap co. for value for money and high quality at the price. But really on the internet there are many; be aware there are some rip offs; as i have found out the hard way; so now I stick to the three I mentioned. Good luck.

No Red or Green dial on Kamasu which alot of people sought after, i guess when this Corona virus thing is over, imma collab with Drop to sell all my unused mask and hand sanitizer

Yes the Red and Green dial options are awesome. I like green at present. Would have bought a green dial definitely and probably the red. But I am happy with the blue, it does seem to have some depth.

Never owned an Orient watch, and actually considered this one, but after reading all of the reviews and researching this watch on the internet, I'll stick with Seiko. I like the crown to stay attached to my watches.

There is no Mako lll. There are Kamasu and Kano. Calling this a Mako lll just creates confusion.

Doesn’t the Kamasu model come with sapphire and not mineral?

Before I ordered it I checked six other websites and 5 reviews and all said Sapphire on Kamasu, mineral on Kano; but a lot of reviews said the mineral was no real issue! I think the Kamasu is a very high spec at the price.

The drop is poorly worded, only the first 3 are kamasu's with sapphire crystal, the rest are Kano's which come with an inferior mineral crystal.

Trying to give the "benefit of the doubt" to Drop by ordering another watch; they have been very professional by refunding costs after two watches went missing, or never got sent, who knows; probably "Covid Confusion"! Anyway my faith in Drop is currently restored, I opted for the Kamasu on the rubber band as I normally swop out the bands anyway for leather options - of which I have 8 or 9 sitting in the drawer. So the saving of $30 made sense, but the rubber band option also gets reasonable reviews; unlike the bracelet which apparently is not as good as the Ray2 model. Also I prefer 42mm in a diver style, as I am almost certain never to dive and need the larger option. I know there are reportedly better prices around the internet, but if the watch doesn't turn up will they refund you?? Some of these other suppliers may not be as solvent as Drop. At least Drop look after members, even after some argument. But also where I live there is no Orient dealers so not a lot of comparison options.

Agreed, I have triple checked; and I guess I can only hope the model number is correct; but it does seem to match up. Of all people these days after the non arrival of two watches I tend to try and be careful. Thanks. Any movement yet on border access for you?
