This will be my first purchase from Massdrop, I've come across multiple decent deals in the past, but vague product description and lack of information regarding warranty has always kept me at bay. The Orients with the triangular 12 o'clock mark, from what I gather is the Orient "Kamasu/Barracuda" with a sapphire crystal on the face. The watch retails for $460 USD on Orient USA website, currently listed on sale for $280. Mind you, the one purchased from Orient USA does come with warranty; whereas it is unclear if one sold/Shipped by Massdrop does or not (Safe to assume it does not). Given it does come with warranty, it may not be international, so for anyone living outside of Japan may not be eligible to make any warranty claims. Please take all the information shared above with a grain of salt as it may not be entirely accurate.
I pulled the trigger on this one and have placed an order for the blue dialed Kamasu with metal bracelet. I've never owned an Orient before, but would like one for daily use, and judging by quality of Seiko and Citizens (Both Japanese watch brands, like Orient) that I've owned in the past, I'm willing to trade the warranty for the $100 discount.
