As for straps, I think that a black calf, or a black alligator (real, not embossed) would give you a very versatile piece when combined with the original brown fake gator strap. With brown and black leathers, could use this watch for any formal or semi formal event, from weddings to a semi-casual evening out and not have to worry about the brown strap not matching your shoes or a darker suit.
