Orient Scout Watch

Thanks to an open-heart design, the Orient Scout offers a look into the watch’s caliber 46A40 automatic movement—a 21-jewel movement. The cutout on the dial offers a view of the oscillating escapement and pallet fork ticking at 21,600 beats per hour. The sweeping seconds hand features a lumed arrow at its tip, while the baton-style minute and hour hands are lumed on the top half and skeletonized on the bottom half.

Striking yet simple, the dial is slightly recessed, lending the watch a bit of depth. It features large, rounded Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 6 o’clock, while applied hour markers adorn the remaining positions. Thin stick markers sit at the minute positions around the rehaut, with slightly larger stick markers at the hour positions, and triangles at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Polished on top and brushed on the sides, the case features a mineral crystal and a crown at 3 o’clock.
